Nestled within the valley between two grand mountain ranges Sits our puritanical village known by the name of Shadow’s Haven The untrained eye would see a community in full order But lying deep beneath are the scars we try so hard to conceal (Chorus) Unspeakable horrors unfold before our eyes Our quaint mountain community now terrorized Solve the riddle to break the curse before we meet our demise It's a perilous existence in Shadow’s Haven Spreading throughout our streets are rumors and speculation About the estate upon our farthest hill Its inhabitants (and) their occupation Our citizenry (is) convinced they're sorcerors in our midst So a decision's been made with impunity That at all costs We must protect our community (Chorus) Unspeakable horrors unfold before our eyes Our quaint mountain community now terrorized Solve the riddle to break the curse Before we meet our demise So as Havenites we must assemble And do what must be done Storm the estate’s borders Extinguish the cause of this disorder There was no repentance No call for absolution We had no choice But total and complete execution! Upon their filthy carcasses Reside all the blood that was shed The events of that fateful evening No guilt rests on our heads Our only responsibility Is to establish an infallible community After cleansing after altering The historical record Because the future inhabitants They must never fully understand The lengths that we went to To protect the citizens of Shadow’s Haven To remove the curse from Shadow’s Haven We can never let history repeat itself

Nocturnia's in shambles Our rulers all dead or disappeared Our kingdom's been abandoned Our hierarchy disbanded Our clergy our warriors our townspeople Are all positioning to be our next leader But I don't think it should be any of them No I don't want it to be any of them (Chorus) Darkness descends upon our stronghold's walls For a leaderless dominion is no kingdom at all Darkness descends upon our stronghold's walls For a leaderless dominion is no kingdom at all Can I get them to set aside their mockery? Can I get them to see past their unfounded fears? For the one they call the accursed, I call him misunderstood For the one they call a pariah, I see as the one who could lead our empire (Chorus) Darkness descends upon our stronghold's walls For a leaderless dominion is no kingdom at all Darkness descends upon our stronghold's walls For a leaderless dominion is no kingdom at all There's Woe in the kingdom of Nocturnia There's Despair in the kingdom of Nocturnia There's Sorrow in the kingdom of Nocturnia Have mercy on the Kingdom, Show favor to our Kingdom WHO WILL ARISE to become our next leader? WHO WILL ARISE in defense of our people? WHO WILL ARISE to be our enemy defeater? WHO WILL ARISE WHO WILL ARISE Our Kingdom's in shambles Nocturnia's in shambles Our Kingdom's in shambles Nocturnia's in shambles Our clergy our warriors our townspeople Are all positioning to be our next Leader But I don't think it should be any of them If I have my way, it won't be any of them

No longer are these lands our home, Our once grand civilization Has been erased from the planet earth By the overzealous, Who believe that to right Perceived injustices, They must inflict their own atrocities (Chorus) So now I’m overwhelmed by this burden, This task entrusted to me To lead this band of survivors few, Towards a destiny unknown And away from these lands that we knew so well Which now serve only as a sepulcher, a tomb, a grave And a gathering place for the souls released From their earthly dwellings and cast into the afterlife I feel the weight of my forefathers, Pressing down against my spine I hear their voiceless echoes, Once calling out for rescue Now just pleading to not be forgotten The brethren whose existences Were eradicated Cultures vaporized, holy houses defiled In the name of redemption, Our innocent have paid the toll How hollow are the spoils, Of their misguided conquests (chorus) So now I’m overwhelmed by this burden, This task entrusted to me To lead this band of survivors few, Towards a destiny unknown And away from these lands that we knew so well Which now serve only as a sepulcher, a tomb, a grave The moonlit winter’s night, Stars frozen in the foggy sky Shine down upon the silent hills Where the chilled winds' whispers, Echo across the barren fields, Then disappear. Where vast generations, Are now in slumber permanent Never to awaken Except in the dialogue Of these survivors few That now trek into the wilderness A future yet uncertain, Our fate is still unknown Our history now behind us, The next chapter yet untold We'll dream of peaceful sanction, Of life without such remorse We'll venture out united, In search of our new life. When will this vicious cycle come to its long awaited end Where beliefs aren't forced through dictatorial domination Let it be transformed, Let it be transformed. Into a place Where those dedicated to different paths, Can coexist and share Without fear of reprisals and condemnation

about

HEIRS OF ISILDUR vs TALES FROM NOCTURNIA:
...It was birthed from a celestial battle, pitting warring forces from alternate existential planes against one another, with the fate of the universe at stake...

That would be awesome if it were the backstory for this project, but it's origins are much simpler:

After completing the debut CD, HEIRS OF ISILDUR - THE CROSSROADS CONUNDRUM, we found ourselves (Insymmetry Creations, LLC) not only working on comic scripts for both our steampunk time-travel series HEIRS OF ISILDUR and our medieval fantasy series TALES FROM NOCTURNIA, but also writing music for both.

In the end we had 5 songs focused on each IP. Our minds were racing and filled with ideas. WHAT IF? How cool would it be? Could we actually do that?

Now we don't have the wherewithal to make a video game (sidenote: If any of you out there can and want to - hit us up let's talk!), but what we COULD do was theme an album around this.

Heirs of Isildur vs Tales From Nocturnia: Let the showdown begin - on MP3, CD, and collectible colored VINYL! You pick which side (literally) wins the battle!

(NOTE: If you want to check out the comics - head over to our store at www.tinyurl.com/Insymshop or our main website at www.insymmetrycreations.com)

This album also features the final tracks recorded by original UNDEROATH guitarist COREY STEGER, prior to his untimely and tragic passing. His tracks were recorded just 11 days prior to his death on 3.17.21. "Love You Bro" Rest In Peace.
